Meaning

This pattern indicates that a result or quality matches or is worthy of the circumstances that preceded it. It expresses the idea that something is natural or unsurprising given the context, often used to make positive evaluations. The three variations (だけあって, だけに, だけのことはある) are interchangeable and frequently appear with さすが (as expected).
